Zinc Brasserie at PHX Airport is a great spot to relax before a flight. The food is fresh, and the atmosphere is comfortable. The chicken baguette with a cold beer is my favorite--the sandwich is super tasty and perfect for a quick, friendly staff, satisfying meal. Highly recommend!
We go to Phoenix at least once a month and it is so great to have a high quality restaurant in the airport. When my wife and I travel there we always make it a point to have lunch or dinner there. We seem to always get the same thing. Either the pork belly plate or the pork belly sandwich. It's hard to find a restaurant that prepares pork belly correctly (or what we think is correct) and Zinc does so. Their fries are very good. I've had the ham and cheese sandwich which is also very good. Our big fear is to walk by the spot where Zinc is supposed to be and see that they left. But I don't think that will happen. They always seem busy. I guess their reputation does that for them.
Having a glass of Veuve clicquot at the airport is just awesome!!. The bartender Scott took great care of us and my omelette was delicious. I look forward to the next time. I fly into Phoenix and hope I'm near the C gates
Probably one of the better places to eat at PHX. I had a LONG layover in Phoenix and I love French food so this was a no brainer. Slight hiccup with getting seated. Now I understand they would prefer solo diners at the bar, but sitting elbow to elbow at a bar where everyone is pounding beers and watching sports is NOT my idea of a relaxing time. They seated me at a high top and while I would have preferred a table it was okay. My server was pleasant and was prompt with service. I ended up getting the Zinc Burger and the 2 homemade sauces for the fries were amazing, a ketchup with nice big pieces of tomato in there as well as a truffle ketchup (I think). Both were so good on the burger and the fries. Espresso martini was the perfect combo of alcohol and caffeine. Definitely worth a stop by if you're at PHX.
